The innovative U.K.-based company has posted a teaser video to YouTube about something called Project N223.

And although the clip is cryptic, it seems likely that the project in question is going to be an automated Dyson vacuum cleaner -- the company's first -- and that it will be unveiled officially on Sept. 4.

The Dyson would be by no means the world's first robot vacuum cleaner to come to market, in fact the company is behind many of its competitors in that regard.

However, what makes the teaser newsworthy is that when asked about such a product in the past, the company's founder James Dyson has always said that as brilliant as the idea is, the technology just wasn't yet good enough to make robot vacuum cleaners a genuine alternative to doing it yourself.

And Dyson should know; the company has been developing automated cleaners since the last century and even came close to launching one in 2001.

But Dyson is a company that, like Apple, is known for its attention to detail. James Dyson built 5,000 prototypes before he was happy with his first-ever bagless vacuum cleaner and although the company's products are now quite literally household names, its way of working hasn't changed.

So, expect something truly innovative.
