At CES in Las Vegas, the South Korean manufacturer unveiled a 77-inch TV with a flexible OLED display that curves or flattens on command.

Through a special button on the remote, users can even control the angle of the TV screen's curve. The idea is that the degree of the curve can be adjusted according to the content being viewed. LG says that it has spent tens of thousands of hours testing and perfecting this futuristic TV.

With this innovation, LG ensures it is still on par with its major rival Samsung, which also wowed CES visitors by demoing a TV that flattens and curves at the press of a button. Samsung's version has a slightly larger diagonal, at 85 inches.

Just one year after the first curved displays were introduced, it would seem that the two South Korean rivals have already revolutionized the technology. Neither brand has announced pricing and availability details for the new adjustable curved screens, however.
