Nokia is strutting its stuff at London Fashion Week thanks to an interactive partnership with designers Fyodor Golan.

Together, they have conceived a skirt out of 35 Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphones. And as the skirt moves, the images on each phone's screen changes colour in a "synchronized shimmering effect" to mimic the behaviour of a futuristic fabric.

Thanks to a specially made app, the phones know where they are geographically in order to respond -- for example, as the model turns, the skirt will appear to sparkle and that sparkle will flow and move in time with the direction of travel.

But that's not the only neat trick. Because the phones also connected wirelessly to a hidden camera in the model's cap, their screens can also reflect what the model is seeing.

Of the collaboration, Fyodor Podgorny, one half of Fyodor Golan said: "The colour changes as the skirt moves and the idea of making the screens react to the word around it via photographs and video is something that we do not think has been done before."
