When Sony announce that they are releasing a full blown Tablet Edition of their decidedly Phablet Xperia Z Ultra, our brains start to hurt. Well, best get the painkillers out...

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra: Tablet Edition boasts identical specs to its Phablet counterpart. Same size, same weight, same screen, same innards. The sole difference between Tablet and Phablet Editions of the Sony Xperia Z Ultra seems to be the former is a Wi-Fi only version while the latter is fully serviced phone too. Also the Tablet Edition is exclusive to Japan, for the time being.

But as I've stated, repeatedly, I don't necessarily get the whole Phablet/Tablet thing...
