The Galaxy S5 will hit shelves next year, but could be released in both plastic and metal body varieties. Korean news site ET News cited 'industry sources' who say that Samsung is considering the idea of releasing a premium metal framed version with flexible 5-inch OLED display and a more traditional plastic cased 5-inch AMOLED model.

It is also expected that the new device could be released slightly sooner than expected. While the Galaxy S4 was released in May 2013, it is thought that the Galaxy S5 could ship in March or April. According to these unspecified industry sources, almost 6 million devices could be produced before the end of February.

The Korean site has once again mentioned the often-rumoured 64-bit processor and 3GB RAM, while it also referenced a 4000mAh battery. As you would expect, the S5 will come bearing Android 4.4 KitKat.

We would advise taking this news with a pinch of salt thanks to the mention of 'industry sources.' But nothing mentioned is too out of the ordinary, so it could be accurate.
