Buzz is building over a 360°, 3D sound, interactive narrative experience designed for tablets that merges aspects of traditional storytelling with film and play.

Wraparound scenes become fully explorable in IDNA, apelab's first story using its specially designed interface, as the reader tilts, turns, and rotates an iPad around themselves, while a branching storyline lifts from Choose Your Own Adventure conventions.

IDNA Ė spatial storytelling from apelab - Emilie Tappolet on Vimeo.

Coming next for the prototype is "an immersive adventure in which walking, going up and down through physical movements will be part of the gameplay," explains ApeLab co-founder Emilie Tappolet, with the project having already been presented at the Tokyo Game Show 2013 and at X Media Lab in Switzerland.

An upcoming crowdfunding campaign will be the next step in taking the prototype to iOS and Android devices.

Tappolet's previous work includes hybrid board game / iOS app The Eccentric Club, a bespoke urban exploration game based on Jules Verne's Will of an Eccentric.
