The Lumia 1020 has barely made its way out the door of Nokia, but already the company is readying its successor, the equally photo-friendly Lumia 1520. According to online leaks, the device scales back a little bit on the megapixel front, offering a 20MP camera compared to the 1020's astonishing 40MP offering, but the processor has seen a significant boost, with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset to drive the handset.
The news won't come as a huge surprise to anyone who's been following the Finnish hardware manufacturer closely in the time since Microsoft agreed to acquire its mobile division, but it's nevertheless a sign that the company intends on doing everything in its power to increase its market penetration against Apple iOS and Android based devices.
Also getting the leak treatment was the Lumia 2520, Nokia's long-speculated debut in the tablet space. the 10.1 inch device will feature a 6.7MP camera, full 1080p HD display, 32 GB of storage space and battery life expected to last around 10 hours at a time.
With Nokia World kicking off tomorrow, it's almost certain that we'll see official confirmation of both devices, as well as a slew of official images and final specs, so stay tuned!
