When the Nexus 4 was announced last year it proved to be a runaway success for LG and Google, capturing the imagination of the public thanks to incredible specs for an insanely low price. Several members of the Click team have been rocking the handset out for the best part of a year now and are still impressed with how well it acquits itself for what essentially amounts to a budget-priced device.

Well, those of you who want to use the money saved by picking up the Nexus 4 to upgrade needn't wait too much longer. If, as expected, the Nexus 5 is announced and launched later this month, users will be getting a similar bargain to last year's handset - at least if the specs included in the latest major leak are anything to go by.

A document purporting to be the Nexus 5's almost-final user manual has hit the web over the last few days, and it's got a wealth of information about what users can expect when the phone finally hits stores - none of which are particularly unexpected or surprising...

The device looks set to offer a 4.9-inch screen), a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU running at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of onboard memory. The rear-facing camera has received a specs bump, not weighing in at 8MP, while the standard 1.3MP front-facing camera remains relatively untouched.

There's nothing all that exciting or innovative in there, admittedly, but if Google keeps the same $300-350 price point of its predecessor, users will be getting a hell of a lot of phone for their dollar! Expect some form of official announcement in the next week or two, with the phone available for purchase from the Google Play store shortly afterwards.
