At Gamescom, a number of players accepted Sony's invitation to try out the interactive demo for a new horror game titled "P.T." Those who stayed for the end of the teaser found out that the new game will actually be a new episode of "Silent Hill" for PS4.

The publicity stunt was Sony's way of announcing this new game overseen by "Metal Gear" creator Hideo Kojima and filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, known for his macabre fictional world.

Norman Reedus, the actor known for playing Daryl on "The Walking Dead," plays the protagonist in this new survival horror game from Konami.

The news is nothing less than explosive for fans of the "Silent Hill" franchise, which was launched in 1999 but has faded from the scene in recent years. Titled "Silent Hills," the new episode could lead to a successful comeback for the series. Naturally, the "s" at the end of the title leads to plenty of questions.
