Sony Computer Entertainment's Andrew House has told The Wall Street Journal at the Game Developers Conference that the company is struggling to keep up with demand for its PlayStation 4 console, and it doesn't expect to be able to deliver enough systems to keep prospective buyers happy until this summer - most likely after E3 takes place in June.

We're struggling to keep up with demand. Conservatively, as we get into the early summer months, we'll be closer to a full supply situation.

Lack of supply hasn't hindered the PS4 so far, with the console selling an incredibly impressive 6 million units within its first three months in retail following its Nov. 15 launch in North America and Nov. 29 in Europe, but as the console rolls out in new territories supplies are set to get even thinner on the ground, meaning that anyone in the market for one is advised to see if pre-ordering is an option.
