The Xbox One will launch on Nov. 22, and will come with a new and improved version of Internet Explorer, which has been built specifically for the console. Internet Explorer for Xbox One, Microsoft says, will enable your favourite sites to look amazing on your television. Internet Explorer for Xbox One has been designed to support modern web standards like HTML5 and CSS3, so the sites you visit will "do more than just work," according to the company.
Internet Explorer for Xbox One will also cater for those who like to use Kinect, as users will be able to navigate using their voice or gesture input. Alternatively, you can pick up the Xbox SmartGlass app and grab a companion device to browse the web.
New features, that many have come to expect from a web browser, such as website pinning, multiple tabs, inPrivate browsing, SmartScreen, Cookie blocking, and Do Not Track have also been added to the browser. And finally, gamers on the Xbox One will be able to take advantage of the Snap feature, enabling them to bring Internet Explorer into the side of the screen as they're playing and search for tips or walkthroughs.
