With today marking the North American release of the PlayStation 4, Sony has noted a "very high volume" of traffic on the PlayStation Network, as owners of the new console sign in to the service to install the PlayStation 4's day one update.
Sony is aware that some users are having issues connecting to the PlayStation Network, but hasn't given any word on when the troubles might clear up.
Using their Ask PlayStation Twitter page, Sony thanked users for their patience and asks that they sit tight while they work away at resolving the issues. For live updates on the issue, Sony directs fans to this PlayStation Forum thread.
If you're getting a network error on the PS4, please sit tight. As you can imagine, we're seeing heavy traffic tonight!— Ask PlayStation (@AskPlayStation) November 15, 2013
