Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS)
Nintendo continues to plunder its Wii catalogue for games to bring to the 3DS, but we're not complaining. Next up in the port parade is Donkey Kong Country Returns, making its debut on the Nintendo's portable fun factory this week. Careful though... for such a cute and cuddly game, it can be more than a little bit difficult.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
The last game in the Call of Juarez series -- Call of Juarez: The Cartel -- was an abomination, but we're willing to give Ubisoft one more chance. Since this game returns to the Old West (Cartel moved the action to present-day Los Angeles, a design decision right up there with New Coke) we're hopeful it will be both rootin' and tootin'.
Resident Evil: Revelations (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PC)
The Resident Evil series has been nudging the needle towards the action end of the spectrum in recent years, but many fans feel that last year's Resident Evil 6 went too far with the hokey, Hollywood-style gunplay. This port of the Nintendo 3DS title of the same name is much more firmly rooted in tension and scares, as Resident Evil ought to be.
