By Relaxnews

"Plants vs Zombies" turned tower defence genre tropes into an iOS hit. (All rights reserved - PopCap Games)

App Store hit Plants vs. Zombies is free on both iPhone and iPad until Feb. 28 as part of the regular Free App of the Week promotion.

Previous promos have included Infinity Blade and Cut the Rope: Experiments, and the Plants vs. Zombies no-strings offer comes at a good time, in the run up to the release of follow-up Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare on June 30.
