Bungie, the studio behind the first four Halo games, is hard at work on something new -- and it's going to be unveiled "within a matter of weeks," according to Bungie's Community Theatre host.
Responding to an adulatory letter taken from the Bungie community mailbag, viewers are told: "For years, we have been working under the cover of darkness on an entirely new universe and you'll get to explore it very soon."
So what's on the video game calendar in the next few weeks?
On Feb. 20, Sony PlayStation is to make an important announcement at the irregular PlayStation Meeting.
The last event of its kind resulted in an official PlayStation Vita announcement; this one is likely to herald the PlayStation 4.
Perhaps a more likely window of opportunity opens in the latter half of March, with senior staff already booked for a design talk at the Game Developer Conference, which runs March 25-29 in San Francisco.
