Chase McCain, heroic lawman of Lego City Undercover, struts his stealthy stuff in the game's latest trailer, and meets his match in crime boss Rex Fury.

"I'm not a legend. I'm an ordinary cop," says McCain. But how many policemen get to play on slides or in bouncy castles as part of their routine?

With a track record that includes Lego Star Wars, Lego Harry Potter, and the open-world aspirations of Lego Batman 2, TT Games's latest might not have the movie licensing that its predecessors enjoyed, but instead has a rich heritage to lean on.

Comparisons to the Grand Theft Auto open-world series are inevitable, especially given the Lego game's work-in-progress name: a very Vice City Stories-esque Lego City Stories.

But with "Grand Theft Auto V" now delayed to September, "Lego City Undercover" could prove to be a big selling point for the Nintendo Wii U if it passes muster.
