Despite its entry in the Steam Network's online games catalogue, Halo 3 won't be coming to the PC via Valve's digital distribution portal.

"We currently do not have plans to release any Halo titles on Steam," Eurogamer was told, after stubs for Halo 3 and its predecessors were discovered during a scrape of the Steam database.

As well as the three Halo games, the scrape also found entries for Fez, which is being prepared for release on other platforms after an Xbox 360 debut in 2012, as well as PlayStation 3 title Dyad; creator Shawn McGrath has since confirmed that his synesthetic game is indeed headed for the computer -- Windows in March, Mac and Linux to follow.
