Joe Flacco throws for the Baltimore Ravens in the "Madden NFL 13" Super Bowl XLVII prediction (All rights reserved - EA Sports)

The Feb. 3 face-off between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will end 27-24 in the Ravens' favour, according to forecasts made by EA Sports' Madden NFL 13.

Predictions also extend to a Most Valuable Player award for Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and credited Ed Reed with a last-minute interception that prevented the 49ers from making a title-winning comeback.

Take heart, 49ers fans, for the Madden NFL series's forecasts aren't surefire -- despite a favorable record, the predictometer misfired in the case of 2008's surprise New York Giants win, and most recently in 2011 when the Green Bay Packers took the Lombardi trophy.
