If you don't have a date for Valentine's day, or if your partner is away on business, the Anti-Loneliness Ramen Bowl could be the answer to your problems.

On first glance, it's just a bowl, but look more closely and you'll see it's a bowl for serving noodles that also has a slot for holding a smartphone.

Created by designers Daisuke Nagatomo and Jan Minnie from architectural and furniture design agency MisoSoupDesign, the Anti-Loneliness Ramen Bowl is not only a way of feeding your body and your mind simultaneously (no need to stop eating in order to watch a viral video clip or catch up on the day's news) it could also be the solution for couples who want to have a romantic meal together but due to work commitments find themselves in different cities -- or even different countries -- come the big day.

With the smartphone held firmly in palce, couples can FaceTime or Skype each other while eating a candle-lit dinner in separate time zones, or for those who are single, the bowl could ensure that they don't feel lonely when they sit down to their evening meal.

The bowl has one other impressive feature, when empty, it can serve as a smartphone amplifier boosting the depth and volume of the handset's built-in speakers.

Although still in the prototype stage, MisoSoupDesign hope to get the bowl to market by May this year and produce the finished item in three different colors -- black, white and red.
