Five new multiplayer environments are heading to Call of Duty: Black Ops II from January 29, according to promotional material spotted at retail.

If confirmed by publisher Activision, the Revolution map pack's January 29 debut date would apply to the Xbox 360 version of the expansion, with other formats following in due course.

According to the promo display, said to have been on show at a branch of GameStop, Revolution will contain maps named Hydro, Downhill, Grind, Mirage, and Die Rise, the last of which appears to be destined for the game's zombie mode.

Unusually for the series, there'll also be an extra weapon accessible as part of the package, called the Peacekeeper SMG.

Four bundles of downloadable content were issued for direct predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops, which arrived early February, early May, late June and late August 2011 on Xbox 360, with PlayStation 3 and PC versions releasing around a month later.
