Gmail integrates Google Drive

Gmail users can now add Google Drive files to their emails. (All rights reserved)

Gmail users can now add up to 10Gb of files from Google's Drive cloud service.

The new feature shows up as a Google Drive icon in Gmail. When you click on it, you can select and insert one or several files from Google Drive. Thanks to the new move, Gmail users can now share up to 10Gb of files in a single email, an impressive 400-fold increase from the original 25Mb allowed.

Since Drive files are stocked in the cloud, designated users can edit them whenever they want to access the latest working versions. Drive supports all types of documents, photos, videos, spreadsheets and presentation materials.

The new feature can only be accessed through Gmail's new email drafting interface, which is still an opt-in at the moment.
