Chatroulette to include genital recognition
By QMI Agency

It didn't take long for some users to drop their pants and expose themselves on Chatroulette, but the video-chatting website plans to put an end to that behaviour.

The website techcrunch.com says the website will see some feature changes in the near future that will include image-recognition software. The software may quickly scan the video to determine if a penis is being shown, and users who are prone to exposing themselves and get "nexted" — or skipped past — possibly because they are acting inappropriately, could be flagged.

The techcrunch.com article says there are investors who are interested in the site for things like online dating, but there's concern about the reputation the site has gained from television shows like South Park and The Daily Show. Both joked about users performing sexual acts while on Chatroulette.

"Chatroulette needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up, and it needs to decide soon. Otherwise it will be nothing more than the punchline of a joke, and even that will grow old quickly," the techcrunch.com article says.
